Santorini, the jewel of the Cyclades, is set to host the much-anticipated Santorini Film Festival 2024 from July 18-20. Under the evocative theme “Dyadic All,” this year’s festival promises to delve deep into the multifaceted nature of existence, highlighting cinema’s unique ability to present life’s inherent contradictions.

The theme “Dyadic All” focuses on the duality present in all aspects of life. The festival will explore the two sides of relationships, community living, places, cultures, and cosmic occurrences. It encourages viewers to observe and appreciate the complexities and dualities that make up our world.
Programmes and Screenings
SFF2024 will unravel this duality through four distinct programmes, each showcasing a rich selection of short and feature films by both Greek and international filmmakers. The screenings will take place on July 19 and 20 at Cine Kamari, Santorini’s beloved open-air cinema that has been the festival’s main venue since 2018. This setting has become an integral part of the festival’s identity, offering a unique viewing experience under the stars.

– Educational Workshops: In co-organization with the Tomato Industrial Museum, D.Nomikos, the festival will host a two-day workshop titled “Optical Toys” for children aged 8-10. Led by Ioanna Giakoumatou, a renowned stop-motion animation and audiovisual educator, this workshop will take place at the historic old factory on Vlychada beach. It aims to introduce young participants to the history of cinema through the construction and experimentation of optical toys and stop-motion techniques.
