Traditionally, the best travel moments have never been shared instantaneously to thousands of followers; they used to be written down by hand on a postcard and sent through the traditional mail. At Athina Luxury Suites, we decided to go back to the tradition of tangible storytelling with our latest project: Postcards from Santorini.
Starting this season, our worldwide community of previous guests, regular customers, and philatelic enthusiasts will be receiving an exclusive bi-weekly chronicle from our cliffside retreat in Fira.

Our new project is certainly not an ordinary company newsletter. This project is aimed at being a collector’s edition logbook of the Cyclades, which is put together by our concierge and creative team. Being published every other week, the edition of the Postcards will give you exclusive updates from the hotel, letting you get acquainted with our newly renovated interiors, starting from the cave-like atmosphere of the Aphrodite Spa to the seasonal menu changes of Esperisma Bar-RestaurantÂ
In addition to it, we’ll be introducing you to the deeper context of the Caldera, uncovering the history of Skaros Rock, geology of Nea Kameni volcano and insider guides on how to explore Fira off the beaten path. In order to make the taste of the season come along, we’ll share exclusive recipes from our kitchen, secrets of mixology behind our signature sunset cocktails, and announce our upcoming wine tasting collaborations in the island.
The Collector’s Edition: Bespoke Stamps from Santorini
At the core of this project, there is the ritual of collection, both physical and digital. Each bi-weekly electronic postcard will come with a custom-made digital stamp depicting the architecture, history, and beauty of Santorini.
From the distinctive shape of our Royal Suite to the volcanological landscape of the island, these stamps serve as tiny works of art. For those who compile travel diaries or are planning their next stay at our luxurious boutique hotel in Fira, Santorini, all these stamps create a unique visual collection of the island.
